The race begins at 6:20 p.m. ET.

How do I register?
You can register online at our secure site starting April 14, 2025. Click on the Registration icon on the Home page and follow the directions. Online registration will close at midnight on Oct. 6, 2025.
Remember – there are no refunds or deferrals to future years.

Is there a capacity limit (cap) on the races?
Yes. The race is limited to the first 700 to register. NOTE: This event has sold out the past two years.

May walkers participate in the Norton Sports Health 4-Miler?
Yes, walkers may participate.

Where is the Start Line?
The start line will be on Rundill Road near the Iroquois Amphitheater.

Where is the Finish Line?
The finish line will be on Rundill Road near the Iroquois Amphitheater.

What time does the Finish Line close?
The finish line will close at 8:15 p.m.

Are headphones, ipods or MP3 players permitted?
You may wear your headphones, ipods or MP3 players; however, we ask that you keep the volume at a reasonable level for your own safety and out of courtesy for fellow participants.

You should still be able to hear participants and volunteers in proximity to you.

Do I need to return the chip?
No. We are using disposable chips that DO NOT need to be turned in after the race.

Are strollers allowed?
Yes. Strollers are allowed. However, you will be asked to start at the back of the chute for the safety of the other participants.

What is the temperature that time of year?
According to weather.com, the average high is 74 degrees Fahrenheit and the average low is 54 degrees Fahrenheit.

Where should I park?
Parking is available in Iroquois Park and in the surrounding area. Parking attendants will be on-site to direct you to parking within Iroquois Park.

Will there be in-race hydration?
There will be two water stations strategically placed on the course. Water stop 1 will be at Uphill Rd. and Rundill Rd. (approx. 1.5 miles) and water stop 2 will be at Sanders Gate and Rundill Rd. (approx. 3.1 miles).

Do I receive a medal?
All race finishers will receive a medal.

What will I receive for participating?
Participants will receive a finisher medal and a Norton Sports Health 4-Miler short-sleeve race shirt as well as bottled water, Powerade, trail mix and bananas.

Thanks to a partnership between the Parks Alliance of Louisville and the Louisville Sports Commission, race participants will be able to enjoy the full Jack O’Lantern Spectacular experience after completing the race. There will be a dedicated tour time from 6:30-7:30 p.m. that is available only for our race participants. For those who finish after 7:30 p.m., your ticket can be used that evening during any of the other time slots. If you would like friends and family to join you on the trail, you will receive a special Ticketmaster code in mid-September to purchase tickets.

Is there a place to keep my keys and extra clothes?
Gear check will be available near the start line.

When is the last day to register?
The last day to register online is Oct. 6, 2025, or when the race hits its capacity of 700 participants. You also can register at packet pick-up and on race day for $45. You will need to pay with cash or credit card.

Where do I get my race packet?
Packet pickup will be at Swags Sports Shoes (7415 3rd Street Road) on Sat., Oct. 4, 2025, from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Sun, Oct. 5, 2025, from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. You can also pick up your packet race day at Iroquois Park from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.

Can someone else pick up my packet for me?
Yes. But they will need a copy of your registration confirmation number, which you will receive upon registration, or a photocopy of your ID.

What types of wheelchairs are allowed?
Push-rims wheelchairs are allowed. Please note that the Jack O’Lantern Spectacular trail is covered with mulch/wood chips.

Are there bathrooms on the Norton Sports Health 4-Miler course?
Bathrooms will be available (typically porta-potties) at the start line and near the water station along the course.

How do I get my results?
You will be able to get results on the Norton 4-Miler website immediately following the race.

Iroquois Park Road (Taylor Blvd. to Rundill Rd.) – 2 pm to 11 pm
